It's spring time and I had some tax refund money burning holes so I started to put together a pile of parts. This is going to be my first boosted Honda so I am pretty anxious to get it going. This is also my first build thread so it will be slowly coming together lol. I will upload more pictures tonight as I should be receiving the majority of the parts from Moss tonight when I'm home from work minus the manifold itself as it is backordered

How she sits now. Pic is from winter still, but you get the idea

Update 4/11: Decided to go with the Merc Racing Twin Screw

Welcome to BoostedK20! Nice parts list, I would definitely take the "?" away from motor mounts and clutch as you'll definitely be needing both. Stock clutch holds for a bit depending on mileage, but I'd buy your clutch ahead of time just so you have it when your stock clutch goes. CC stage 4, FX300, and FX400 are the most popular clutches being run on 300whp-500whp setups. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask us! Can't wait for pics!

I put the ? because i'm not sure what i'm going to do with them yet but they are definately on the needed list. I'm hoping to have everything done by June or July, but work is super busy right now.

Makes sense, definitely get a catch can btw. I don't see that listed. And super busy work makes for more monies, which leads to more ponies :giggle:

Catch can is in the items I already purchased ;). What do you guys recommend for spark plugs?

BKR9EIX. Much easier for tuning than the 8's. Your tuner will love you, and you will love your tuner.

No Homo.

Make sure to hit up E-Tunez to get tuned! Great guys over there.

I'm trying to go from stock to the m90 too.

Did they give you an idea of when the back ordered parts would arrive?

Why would you need motor mounts for this setup?
Thanks!

From a performance aspect, all setups should have stiffer-than-stock motor mounts. This allows the engine to move less (or not at all), which results in less wheel-hop and, typically, better traction.

The adapter plate and all the bolts that were also listed as backorder came in 3days. still waiting on the manifold and I think they are working on getting a new site up so I'm not sure if they are updating the stock status at the moment.

That and even with my 'stiffy' my header is hitting the underside of my car on hard shifts. I can avoid it mostly, but it will end badly if you add more power into the mix.

The reason that happens is because the 'stiffy' torque damper simply replaces one mount and makes it a solid mount, leaving the remaining mounts OEM. This will put more stress on the remaining mounts, specifically the front mount and tranny mount, wearing out the rubber faster. Works for a little while though.

I love when things come in faster than expected! Congrats

If my Merc Racing aftercooler comes early I may just die from excitement. lol

So I just found out that some people have already been waiting 2 months for the JRSC Merc Racing aftercooler. Definately makes me a sad panda...... Looking like it may be a long time before this project gets going. So I think I may start buying other good supporting mods. Any suggestions? My first thing to add I think is the S2 Throttlebody, and maybe dropping my Eibach Pro-kit for some coils. I've even tossed around the idea of going with the Twin Screw vs M90...... :ohnoes:

I'm waiting to hear back from Jose on his pricing from his page. His first email he sent me was super confusing. The parts list on the page clearly says it includes the manifold and bypass for that $4,800. He emailed me and said I need the manifold but wasn't clear on what you actually get for that. It also shows a heat exchanger, pump, and remote fill. I was hoping for $4,800 it would include all of that. Seems like big chunk for JUST a blower and adapter............

SCORE!

Nathen,

Everything needed to install is included on the price, including pre-assembly of the blower and bypass configuration to the manifold. Pretty much ready to bolt on to your car. You only need to buy a belt that will match your car.

If you already have parts lets me know which ones so that we can adjust accordingly.

Congrats man. Your looking at making 400 hp for sure. The thing about tuning is...you pay wether or not your clutch starts slipping on the dyno so I'd go ahead and install it. I'd do a comp clutch stage 4. That's what I had. Worked great and pedal pressure wasn't too serious.

I'm going to be sending Jose my manifold when it finally arrives so he can work his magic on it. I also may be going with a different configuration for the aftercooler setup using a different heat exchanger and pump. here is the pump I found http://www.hpashop.com/Johnson-CM30-Intercooler-Pump-johnson-intercooler-pump-cm30.htm flows 1000GPH lol. Saw some info posted on 8thcivic about it from JMerc a few months back.

Ask ryan at
rdoolin@autofair.com

His friend rich will mod the TL for you. Its a 80mm intake 70mm out TB. ~$500 much more reliable than the skunk 2.

Manifolds shipped, be here on Thursday woot! I'm still doing M90. Are you doing a fuel return?
