07 Civic Si Sedan. Always wanted a K20 and finally got this for a great deal after my vacation to the sand box. The engine being built is k20a2 with wiseco 86.5mm pistons 9.8:1 CR with Eagle Rods. Fuel system is 255 walbro and ID1000cc injectors. Head is going to be stock z3 head and trans will be getting albins 3-4th gears. Turbo manifold is being built right now and i am still needing to get IC, gauges, oil kit, WG, BOV and oil catch can. IF yall have any input feel free to post it.

Sounds like an awesome build, you'll have a cable throttle with that right? And what turbo will you be running?

Its DBW. I am still up in the air, GT3076R is what I am leaning towards or this one a guy told me about zeta 3.0

Just got a great deal on IC 24x12x4 a monster! may have to modify my crash bar but it came with 3" piping so I am swapping for 2.5". Just waiting for my boost solenoid, vacuum block and manifold to be finished!

^ Nice, which intercooler is it? That's pretty big, you'll definitely have to modify your reinforcement without a doubt. Post a pic!

No idea on the brand but for the price I had to take a change. I have seen a bar that replaces your factory crash bar. I think Full Race makes it.
Also ordered my ARP studs, magnetic drain plug and a new shift boot. Just waiting on the machine shop with block and then head gasket then I can have a base map put on it and then do the break-in.

Well good new. Got my 4 bar map sensor, locash vacuum block, new leather shift boot, shift knob and my ARP head studs. Will be ordering my HG and clutch tomorrow and then just a waiting game on getting my block back from the machine shop. Also paid for my turbo and manifold just gotta get it all welded up and take to the guy for my IC piping to be routed and my BOV branket to be welded on.

Str8JDM's old gauge? And it should be positioned at 0 when it doesn't see any vacuum or boost. I would call Auto Meter before installing that. And it depends on how much boost you plan on running. You've got a decent sized turbo that will yield some nice numbers.

ksboi

Oil high in zinc is what you use for break in oil. And it's anywhere from 500-1000 miles is a normal break in.

My car will not go any lower. I like the slammed look but its just not for me. When I do my fuel return I am going to paint it myself. I got plenty of tape and striping paint. I may just paint it all black with white lines and then clear it. Give me something to do on the weekends.
Sounds good to me, I'm always looking to see how I can make things better, so I figured I'd give you my :2c:

So I learned a very important lesson. Never buy a fuel pump off a forum. Just go to a walbro site or come to me. I was running stupid lean at 65-8500rpm. He was dumping fuel into and it would not budge. So after checking everything(I tore my fuel cage apart 6-8 times in a week) I got a new 255 high output and it fixed the problem. So we are redoing some of the tuning right now. My boy just got done and he made 414hp,310s tq on 14psi.

fre$h si
08-11-2012, 07:52 AM
Holy cow was that the Walbro u bought from me? I swear to you that it was brand new and unused. It was bought from clubrsx and sat packaged in the closet till I shipped it to you, I can show you the receipt if you would like. But I am really sorry I never thought that something like that would happen. Maybe you can contact Walbro, I've heard they have good customer service. Maybe they can replace it for you.

ksboi
08-11-2012, 08:37 AM
I think it was just a bad batch from walbro. I got a new one and compared it to the one I got and there is a difference in length, the size of the next where the o-ring goes on the white plastic piece and the bottom of the fuel pump. I need to find a way to test it.

fre$h si
08-11-2012, 02:59 PM
Is it the same part number? Because that doesnt make sence for the body to be different. Lemme try n find the number or email for Walbro and I'll send it over to you. Maybe you can get it replaced because if I remember right it's like a 1 yr warranty.

fre$h si
08-11-2012, 04:14 PM
Whoops nvm I just read where u said u got a Walbro high output. Now that I'm thinking of it couldn't you have just been running outta fuel because I'm pretty sure that's how it reacts when ur fuel system is maxed. Also don't u have a built motor? I know getting the most out of a built motor would require more than just a 255.
Have u crushed your FPR?

ksboi
08-11-2012, 05:21 PM
FPR crushed and either walbro should not make my car run that lean. The block is built nothing else. The number on the black clip is different it says gs3223 same on both. I am taking it out today to put in new fuel cage I will snap pics. Im not blaming you it could just be a fsulty pump.

I knew it look familiar. Well I talked to a few people about the ID injectors and they are saying anyone with an si that you should run an inline filter by the fuel rail. I do not know why or if maybe its all cars but I am going to get my injectors inspected and cleaned and then get the filter.

They were saying that it does not take much to clog those injectors to run one. Someone posted some shit about after letting there car set for a month when they were running e85 the moisture clogged them up also. No idea if its true just what was posted.

I think the electrical component is what gets corroded. Basically all the sender is, is a float with a needle on the cage. The higher the float the more gas you have. The needle reads based on where its located on its little circuit board type deal majig thingy. Lol

That cage will not fix the problem. They are simply saying the cage itself will not corrode in e85. The cage does not replace or change anything about your fuel sender board so it would still corrode with e85.

Mark, You should do this...

It's my new fuel system. Dual feed from the sides and exits center to regulator! :thumb:

What are the benefits to dual feeding if it comes from one line? Never saw that before. just so each injector gets the same amount of fuel?

Pretty much, yea. It's to eliminate any injector starvation from turbulence in the rail. At least that's the selling point. I did it because it looks boss as shit.

That makes no diference at all wether I have a return or not .I just want the center feed to clean the bay up a lil more

Adam I now have a -10 feed going into the rail being fed by dual 044 s from a surge tank it should be enough to handle my fuel needs but that looks pretty cool .I'm trying to clean the bay up a bit is why I'd like a center feed

This rail the ktuned pro1000 is a true -10 through and through rail. I know my hybrid rail was a -8 rail. What rail are you running now? And geez a 10an feed is definitely boss status. Lol.

Its a Golden Eagle I think it's -8 but have -10 going to it feeding a new set of 2150 s from FIC I'll have to look into that rail you have so when I do the center feed I will have a true -10 all the way thru as well as I'm all for overkill

This rail has a weird center exit. Its a plug type thing. I'll post a few pics in my build thread for you. Not sure you can do a -10 feed from the center. It's made for what I've got in the picture a few posts up. And DAMN! 2150's. you plan on e85? Or just a "bullet proof" fuel system?

vdubkilla
03-06-2013, 11:34 PM
Well Both a bullet proof set up and the ability to easily run 85 as well and not worry about insane fuel pressures or duty cycles .I test drove the car for the first time the other day a few miles and it starts and runs pretty well just on a base map and pump gas it idles ok and starts easy so far I'm impressed with the FIC s.I wanted to drive it a couple miles to be sure everything is in working order and seems like everything is solid so far .I have to tow it a few hours for tuning and want to make sure I have no issues on e the dyno .

I am going with single side IC and 1slowsi aka Chris is going to port me and IM or I may get BoostJunkyz to make me a IM and run it straight into the IC. These are just ideas. But the car is going to be in storage starting Friday for a year.
