It's not too popular yet, but that seems to be because many people stay on their respective forums. I feel that, although people have their own forums, they should make a bit of time for other ones. This forum will become more popular in my opinion, the new civic Si came out with a K24 and Full-Race already did a turbo build on one. But, a forum can only become as good as it's members IMO. Post up more and help contribute!

Alright so I decided I would give Chase Bays another chance. After meeting the guy he's a nice guy. He was sorry about my harness and he did everything he could to help me out. He even texted me to check up on things and what nots. So all in all I'm a happy customer. So I decided to go ahead and get my brake booster delete kit from him.

I'm a big fan of stitch welding strut tower walls. Then smoothing them down. Have had a few locals do that as well as Chris at CRSX is doing it on the shop builds. But to make it completely seamless you HAVE to do some type of welding so you don't sacrifice structural integrity. And if you get too overkill with welding it's easy to warp some metal and never have a perfectly straight front end. :ohnoes:

You should photoshop it if you can, choose a color that stands out like CRAZY - so crazy that people from the other side of the car show come over to see your car. If you really want to, you can make a pattern like zebra or something (Don't do zebra, it's just an example)

So we decided that it would be better to weld everything verses weld some and mud some... so I spent the first part of the night trying to remove all the filler we had previously laid

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Winter%202011%20Shave-Tuck/jan14/2012-01-14164806.jpg

then cleaned so we could weld
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Winter%202011%20Shave-Tuck/jan14/2012-01-14164737.jpg

had a lot of troubles with the welder. I had to go get a new tank of gas an then had to go get new rod as I ran out of both... then we couldn't get the welder adjusted correctly at first so it was welding like crap. We eventually got everything smoothed out and it started welding smoother

So I took a break from the bay today and focused on my engine. I just wanted to seperate it from the trans and get it on a stand. I will start working on it from here now

So here is what I started with:

So I had a crazy awesome idea... instead of playing Mechanic last night I decided to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and be a carpenter...

So I called up a buddy cause he said he would definitely be in for helping me and we went to home depot. We picked up some sheets of 3/4" MDF board.

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-26205545.jpg

Time to start our measurements. Right now you're wondering... what are we building?! lol It's simple!

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-26213019.jpg

So we made a couple of cuts with the circular saw and we were on our way. Then got out the sqaure, some drill bits, screws and wood glue.

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-26215123.jpg

Not a bad start... lets keep going with this monster box!

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-26220905.jpg

Alright so what the hell is it already?! Well I have been spending a lot of time in the garage and nothing pisses me off more than my loud ass noisey air compressor going nuts while I grind and cut and etc. So I decided what if I built a large box around it to compress the sound and function as a new work counter! So...

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-26222832.jpg

Now time to build a top

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-26224309.jpg

damn this is a BIG box!

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-26225600.jpg

since the box is so strong and sturdy I'm gonna hook up my hose reel to it. So mark off my holes

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-26234541.jpg

drill and attach!

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-26235206.jpg

Box is pretty much finished... time to try it out!

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-27002024.jpg

shit ya! And it's strong enough to place the welder on it and anything else I can throw at it lol

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/air%20compressor%20box/2012-01-27002629.jpg

I'm not fully finished but it was late 1 am when we were done to this point. I am going to fill up any cracks with filler and sand it smooth. I'm also going to do something special for the top so it's sealed and water proof for oil mess and etc. . . Also I'm gonna paint the box or something and then probably sticker bomb it! lol

Either way the most important part... I wish I would have taken a sound clip but OMG then compressor sound we eliminated GREATLY!!! I can won't have to wear ear plugs, I could still carry a conversation, and hear my music without being blasted like crazy! I'm so excited to work on the car tonight now!

That's awesome man. It's a great use if space bow especially when you seal it. You could even attach a piece of sheet metal to the top so you wouldn't have to use a wood sealer. And you could do that finish on I with a angle grinder. Just a thought.

Spent four hours in the emergency room last night. Went to the hospital around 10 and didn't get home till 2:15am this morning.... couple xrays, some shots and lots of pain.

They say I have Pleuritis. It's in inflammation of the pleura. Thats the tissue around the lungs I guess? I can't breathe in deep or turn my body or its hurts and feels like a sharp pain as if I had a broken rib.

But that didn't stop me from being a car nut! I came home at 2:15am and at 8am I was up and in the garage working on the car.. luckily they gave me some shots to relieve the pain

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/EPS%20Conversion/EPS%20Cleaning/2012-06-29101219.jpg

Then I decided to clean up the tie rod ends... I've always hated them
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/EPS%20Conversion/EPS%20Cleaning/2012-06-29095929.jpg

then polished them lol
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/EPS%20Conversion/EPS%20Cleaning/2012-06-29101226.jpg

also started cleaning up the base
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/EPS%20Conversion/EPS%20Cleaning/2012-06-29101350.jpg

oh yeah
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/EPS%20Conversion/EPS%20Cleaning/2012-06-29102334.jpg

and the final bling

So tonight I fabed up a bracket for my new adjustable proportioning valve.

For anyone with a work bench if you don't have a dry erase board above it you're missing out!

All great products start with planning
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01174358.jpg

Then after I made my measurements I put them down on cardboard and cut them out
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01180612.jpg

Put it on my prop valve to check
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01180636.jpg

Looks like it should work. So I bought a new sheet of metal
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01180925.jpg

and traced out my pattern
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01181025.jpg

cut it out
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01191418.jpg

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01183932.jpg

drilled out the holes and test fitted the first part
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01190412.jpg

now it has plenty of strength but I want a supporting bottom plate too. So all I did was flip my bracket and make an identical second one
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01190947.jpg

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01192107.jpg

one on top of the other nearly PERFECT I about shit myself lol j/k
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01192122.jpg

Now drill that out and test it up!
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01195904.jpg

and now for ease of installation I'm gonna get out the welder
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01200839.jpg

sorry this weld sucked but it didn't need to be pretty
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01201233.jpg

and now the second nut
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01201808.jpg

and now enjoy the finished product!
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Prop%20valve%20bracket/2012-07-01195904.jpg

I then sanded down all the edges and smoothed everything out. I will have them powdercoated black before installation.

4 custom lines or you can get away with using the brake lines from the civic non abs on the rsx but not too sure on that one, i did with 3 of them but change it up now, its pretty simple but lets see what spaz has to say.

So after placing the manifold on and bolting on my new Hybrid Racing AC/PS delete I wasn't happy with the look of the water pump housing having a big arch on it for the stock tensioner and PS...... So, it had to go!

so I pulled it off and taped up the block
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Hybrid%20Racing%20Parts/2012-08-24220224.jpg

stuck her in the vice
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Hybrid%20Racing%20Parts/2012-08-24203724.jpg

marked a general line I wanted to follow
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Hybrid%20Racing%20Parts/2012-08-24203827.jpg

and went to town!
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Hybrid%20Racing%20Parts/2012-08-24203905.jpg

and finally after a pain in the ass of cutting with a grinder and a saw lol (Thanks for the help Jezo & Timmy)
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Hybrid%20Racing%20Parts/2012-08-24210827.jpg

Now I grinded it down smooth

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Hybrid%20Racing%20Parts/2012-08-24215553.jpg

My good buddy Phil came down to hang out and he filled the pits quick
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Hybrid%20Racing%20Parts/2012-08-25172842.jpg

then I masked it off
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Hybrid%20Racing%20Parts/2012-08-25180504.jpg

hung that beast up and primered it
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Hybrid%20Racing%20Parts/2012-08-25183105.jpg

Then using Krylon Satin Black I painted her up and here's how she turned out :)

So Chuck came over last night to take some measurements of the harness he is working on for me. He eliminated A LOT of wiring lol

Here is how my harness currently sits
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16190423.jpg

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16190414.jpg

and where the fuse box plugs are. They will be extended
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16190753.jpg

We decided where we were going to put the harness but before we could do that we had to relocate the wiper arm harness. (Sorry no before photo)

He de-pin the plugs and removed the harness
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16184404.jpg

Pulled it back into the car and stuck a hanger into the new bottom hole we will be feeding it through from
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16184417.jpg

Now I started pulling it through
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16184522.jpg

and put the grommet back in place
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16184729.jpg

and finished relocating that. Very clean and simple.
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16185726.jpg

Now to mock up the actual harness... Just zip tied it up. It will be coming out of the hole the wiper harness was coming out from
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16195840.jpg

drag it across the front
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16195901.jpg

and over to the battery
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16195923.jpg

Are you guys wondering where we are located the fuse box this time?

http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad22/typespaz/Chucks%20Tucks%20fuse%20box/2012-09-16195933.jpg

There is a place local to me. Called freed engineering. I have an 05-06 like yours as well I could have them mock it up off of my car.
