Adam what intake are you using ?? is it an RBC and if so did you have to modify it / cut it ?? or was it already modified / cut ?? I had a similar issue when I first did my swap a few yrs ago, turned out the guy who I bought my swap from cut the RBC a little to much and it had an air leak causing a high idle .Have you tried spraying anything around the intake manifold mounting area to see if the idle changes any ? It sure sounds like you have an air leak somewhere to me
Mark, yea I bought a pre moded RBC off of some one and you may be correct. I'll make sure to try and do some leak testing soon. Just been to lazy now that it runs.

HaHa so glad to hear you got it together and finally got it to the track congrats on the 13 second pass  and as far as the idle if its sucking air then it's gonna lean it out on cylinder #4 If that's where the leak is or any cylinder that is puling in unneeded air so get on that shit man don't wanna see things go bad for ya again Adam .When modifying the RBC there is not much that gets cut off and it could easily have been "overcut " spray something around the intake around where it mounts to the head on cyl #4 and see if the idle changes / lowers .I actually had my car tuned a few years ago when it was all motor and it was idling high and everyone was like it's the IAC , it's the IAC :deadhorse: and guess what it wasn't the IAC it was an overcut RBC I hope ya find it man keep us posted Adam !

How have things been going man? And thanks man. He likes wing out there with me "fixing my racecar" lol
As for the revving I haven't diagnosed or tried to yet. I've just been too lazy now that it runs.
Things have been pretty good but busy, just did a few small maintenance things on the civic to keep things going well. I've been obsessed with the Ruckus and the civic lately though, I'm saving up for sick mods for the Ruckus over the winter, and i've been into fixing all the small annoyances in the civic (little rattles, etc).
You should do the battery mod on his mustang. There are forums and DIYs online about putting in bigger or second batteries and making more power in those things. He'd love it!
And i'm with Mark on this one, get it fixed! Congrats on the 13's :wavey:

Glad to hear things are going good for you. My friend has a ruckus and has done an extended swing arm and is working on putting it on air suspension now.
Yea I'll get to work on my high idle problem. Hoping its something petty.

Well I gave the thing a bath a couple days ago and tonight I fit the other wheel for my slicks.
Don't take pics of cleanliness too often so I had to take one for you guys.
